Tuesday we spent some time in Bethal. We passed out the letters that everyone had sent. Mario was there. We sat for a long time on Connie´s porch. Savannah made ballon animals for the kids. A couple of guys from JCM played baseball with the older guys.
We are planning on a Baptism at the ocean this afternoon.
Please continue praying for us.

Yestreday, Kyle had to go back to Managua to renew his Visa. SO in typical Nicaraguan style, we loaded up the van and all headed off. After taking care of business issues in Managua, we went to see an active volcano. We then went to a tourist place that was up high overlooking an old volcano creater that is now a huge lake.
We got back late last night and awoke this morning to a canon goig off downtown. It was in celebration of something, not sure what.
Keep praying for us. Keep praying for Francisco.

Tim, Julie, Savannah, and Summer came back to Nicaragua on Saturday, August 28th. We will stay until Tuesday Sept. 8th. We are staying with Jesus Centered Ministires out of Knoxvile. They have a nice missions house in Leon.
The flight down was great. No problems at all.
Sunday we went to a village high up on a volcano near Bethal. The youth from Bethal had gathered clothes for the people in this village.
About the time the service started, our interperter told me that they wanted me to speak that morning. God provided the message and we had a great time worshipping and fellowshipping afterwards. They offered us armadillo that appeared to be bar-b-qued. It was great. Its tatse was somwhere between beef and pork.
We then went to Bethal and passed out some of the letters given to us to pass along. (Not everyone was in town.)
Last night we were in the square at Leon and EnRique walked up. It was great seeing him again.
Pray for Francisco. God is working with him.
We are praying for Joyce and her family and Pat Wilson´s brother and his family.
In Christ,
Tim Sanders

Thursday, we went to a school in Chinindaga and showed the Jesus video. We visited a surgery center there also. We then went to Bethel where we handed out beans and rice and visted with the people there for a while. That night, we had youth night and showed Prince Caspian in Spanish with English subtitles. A local pastor gave a great message.
Friday, we packed up and said our goodbyes, went to Bethel and said our goodbyes there, and said our goodbyes to Keven and his family on the way out. We also stopped at a church on the way out and passed out more beans and rice.
We stopped in Leon for a late lunch and a little bit of shopping time before making the trip back to Managua.
Please pray for a safe jurney back as we fly through Miami and Charlotte on the way back.
We will give more details when we get back.

Still having technical difficulties updating the blog once we left the states. The Verizon phone we got just for this perpose does not even permit voice calls at this time. Everyone is doing well and having a great time. Meeting lots of new friends and taking lots of pictures.
We went to a church on Sunday where Tim preached with an interpertor. We then feed the whole village a fish dinner. (they cooked.) After that we went to the beach and waded in the Pacific ocean.
Yesterday we handed out shoes in Chunco, taught the children VBS songs with all the hand motions, played games, and gave out shoe boxes. Some of the team stayed in Bethel overnight in some of the local houses.
Today, we bagged rice and beans and handed some out at the Chenindago dump. People live thier off of what the can pick up out of the trash. Some of the team made a hospital visit to see a sick woman that Ray and Cathe know.
Tonight, we have stopped in at an Interent Cafee and will go out for Ice cream later tonight.
It´s an amazing trip. We will give more details once we get back.
